What is PRP Therapy?

Many of us know that PRP injections triggered in the scalp to get natural growth and maintain it by the blood supply to the hair follicle that also helps in the thickening of the hair shaft. Sometimes in some cases, this treatment is combined with PRP procedure and medicines to get the best result. PRP therapy is used from 1980 till date and has helped many people suffering heavy hair loss, healing tendons that are injured, ligaments and hair muscles.
What is PRP Therapy process?
As we know it’s a 3-step process. Treatments are required every 4–6 months maintenance. We in the skin story clinic once when you start with your treatment, we do PRP therapy every 3-4-week 1 session.
Let’s see 3 steps in details:
A certain amount of blood is drawn typically from your arms which is then collected in centrifuge [Centrifuge – is a machine that spins and during this spinning process fluid of different densities is separated].
After spinning for 10 min the centrifuge is checked as they form 3 layers:
- Platelet-Poor Plasma
- Red Blood Cells
- Platelet-Rich Plasma
Through a clean syringe, the platelet Rich Plasma is drawn and injected in different areas of the scalp that has hair loss or where you need to grow hair rapidly.
